Yalelo is looking for a highly motivated Area Sales Managers x 2 to achieve maximum volume growth, brand visibility, recommended pricing, volume and profit growth and the creation of value for retail and wholesale trade of Zambia’s #1 fish within an assigned territory in line with the designated area plan (i.e., Chingola x 1 and Lusaka x 1)
- Maximizing sales of Yalelo products within geographical area
- Reaching the targets and goals set for your area
- Establishing, maintaining and expanding your customer base
- Servicing the needs of your existing customers
- Ensuring that retail outlet teams operate according to SOPs
- Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
- Cascading your targets to retail outlet teams under supervision
- Recruiting and training sales staff
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize volume in geographical area
- Monitoring your team’s performance and motivating them to reach targets
- Compiling and analysing sales figures
- Possibly dealing with some major customer accounts yourself
- Collecting customer feedback and market research
- Reporting to senior managers
- Keeping up to date with products and competitors
- Degree holder of BSc in Commerce, Economics, Marketing or other relevant discipline.
- Language Skills: English, Nyanja, Bemba
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in FMCG sector (cold-chain would be advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license (Manual/Auto) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to confidently address and present to a range of audiences.
- MS Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Resilient, persistent and driven.
- Team player and self-driven.
- Ability to work Monday to Saturday
- Based in Lusaka but with 25 – 30% inter-provincial travel
- Strong leadership skills
- Dedicated team player who takes initiative, is detail oriented, organized and has proven ability to follow up tasks through to quality completion
- Quick thinking and able to self-manage.
